Watch The Lost Relic, a Star Wars fanfilm.
The short film was created in the span of 3 years. Following a week of shooting in France using green screen, a lengthy postproduction phase began. Lots of CGI and VFX had to be added.
Director, Clément Labarre, explained us that he wanted to create a short film that would follow Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, and create a link between this movie and Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens.
Pierre Labarre, Clement’s brother, was the main CGI/VFX artist. 3D artists Daniel Margunato and Lambert David were also involved.
