Czech post-production studio PFX shared with us their VFX breakdown for Land of Bad by William Eubank, with Liam Hemsworth, Russell Crowe, and Luke Hemsworth.
It features lots of explosions and action.

PFX worked alongside Australian VFX studio Cutting Edge. PFX worked on about 90 shots over the span of 3 months. VFX supervisor Jindřich Červenka and the PFX crew also explain that “the most challenging assignment was a full CG drone sequence which required a lot of research and preparation to ensure that it would be as realistic as possible.”
Another challenge was the need for international collaboration. As PFX producer Tomáš Srovna explains, they had to “coordinate the project across three continents”: the USA, Europe and Australia. Which is why PFX ” had to adjust [their] work hours accordingly.”
Director William Eubank is quite satisfied with the end result, and explains that “despite the tight schedule, [PFX] delivered phenomenal work and tackled the most challenging shots with remarkable creativity and efficiency.”

In addition to being one of the largest post-production studios in Central Europe, PFX also creates and produces 3D animated films. You can watch their latest animation reel below.
PFX operates in Czechia and Slovakia. The studio states that they plan to expand to other countries in the future.
