The Wall Street Journal reported that Unity is laying off 600 employees. The company will also close 30 of their 58 offices worldwide.
Unity already layed off about 500 employees in two waves during the last 12 months. Following these new layoffs, the company will have about 7.000 employees worldwide. Moreover, explains the Wall Street Journal, Unity will adopt a new hybrid work model. There is no formal policy at the moment. Starting this fall, employees will be expected to be at the office at least 3 days a week.
It should also be noted that Unity also announced their first quarterly operating profit (period ending in December) since the company went public back in 2020.
