Swing To The Moon: a spider wants to catch the moon (ESMA short film)

This article is also available in: French

When we first watched Swing to the Moon, a thesis short film from French digital art school ESMA, we fell in love with the main character: a small and cute spider who dreams of catching the Moon. This simple yet touching, poetic and strong story melted the hearts of the jury members, including 3DVF. The short film received the First Prize.
The short film was then screened in various animation festivals, and received prestigious awards including the Best Student Project at SIGGRAPH.

Swing to the Moon is now, at long last, available online. If you haven’t had the chance to watch it until now, here’s your chance!

Directors: Marie Bordessoule, Chloé Lauzu, Adriana Bouissié, Vincent Levrero, Nadine De Boer, Solenne Moreau and Elisa Drique.

Music: Dorian Lehmann
Sound: Tristan Le Bozec, Sébastien Fournier, José Vicente, Yoann Poncet – Studio des Aviateurs

And here is a video we shot during the jury. At the 2’20” mark, it features an interview of the team behind Swing to the Moon, just after receiving their prize.
