Every year at SIGGRAPH, NVIDIA unveils their latest announcements aimed at creators: new tools, research projects, GPU news.
Jensen Huang, NVIDIA CEO, will once again give a keynote. It will take place tomorrow, on August 8 at 8 a.m. PT.
NVIDIA gave us a few clues about what we can expect from this keynote. Jensen Huang will discuss these topics:
- Jensen Huang will discuss OpenUSD. This is expected, since NVIDIA, Pixar, Adobe, Apple, and Autodesk, just launched the Alliance for OpenUSD, aimed at promoting this technology. As a reminder, USD/OpenUSD is also at the heart of Omniverse, NVIDIA’s 3D design collaboration platform.
- The keynote will also focus on research. This is yet again not a surprise, since SIGGRAPH is used to showcasing their latest breakthrough and work-in-progress tech at SIGGRAPH. We recently published an article about one of their SIGGRAPH 2023 papers: Interactive Hair Simulation on the GPU using ADMM.
- Last, but not least, NVIDIA explains that Jensen Huang will also discuss “the latest AI-powered solutions for content creation”. This could mean new tools/improvements for NVIDIA Omniverse, or new standalone tools. We’ll know more in a few hours!
