Watch Roald, a comedy & horror shot film created as a thesis short film at French digital arts school ESMA (class of 2022). At last, this blend of cuteness and horror is available online!
This short film was created by Clara Bigache, Armand Gaucheron, Laurent Chavalle, Alexis Lheureux, Julie Chene, Maxime Prone, and Thibault Chopinet. We attended the ESMA 3D Jury back in 2022. The jury clearly appreciated the short film: Roald got the second place.
Roald is an anthropomorphic toad who perceives life in a cute, cartoonish and colorful way. Here comes his birthday! Roald intends to impress his guests he expects to be numerous, but sadly, nobody comes. When suddenly, the doorbell rings and Roald is about to make an unexpected encounter with a paranoiac fly, whose point of view is drastically opposed to his.
