Pixar releases RenderMan 25.1, the latest version of their renderer for animation and VFX.
This minor update mainly provides bug fixes as well as minor improvements. There are some important news for Blender users, however: Blender 3.1 to 3.5 are now officially supported! Which means that Blender users can at last benefit from the main features of RenderMan 25.x. These incluse a new denoising technology, XPU that can be used for lighting/lookdev/vizualisation thanks to CPU+GPU rendering, improvements when it comes to stylized rendering.
We should also mention that Progiss, our sister company, will attend the MIFA in a few days. They will provide RenderMan demos on booth A.33. Progiss is the official RenderMan reseller in France. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with them!
