Laval Virtual is back, April 10-12 in Laval, France. As usual, the conference will feature VR&AR companies, startups, research projects, as well as student projects and networking opportunities.
An artistic festival will be organized parallel to the conference: Recto VRso. Recto VRso 2024 will be free to access and will take place from April 11th to 14th at the cultural venue “Le Quarante” in Laval.
This year, 22 artists will present their works on the theme “Real Time / Virtual Time.” The exhibit will feature virtual, augmented or mixed reality, immersive devices, interactive interfaces, robotics, multidimensional spatialization, presence effects, etc.
Here are the works that will be featured at Recto VRso 2024:

Laboratory & extended festival
In addition to these works, Recto VRso will set up a “Research & Creation Laboratory.” The core idea being to invite artists, students, researchers, and collectives to promote artistic diversity. These guests will then be able to “take over different spaces of Le Quarante.” There will be “pedagogical projects from universities and schools in digital creation, invited curators, collectives, and pioneering and emerging artists.”
TALM Le Mans, Montpellier 3 University, Paris 8, Rennes 2 will participate.
Finally, it should be noted that Recto VRso will expand this year over the weekend, with an “Xtended” part that will offer various experiences. More details will be provided later on the official website.
Recto VRso 2024 – how to attend
As mentioned at the beginning of the article, the Recto VRso exhibition will take place from April 11th to 14th. Access is entirely free, and the festival will be held in Laval, France, at the Le Quarante space.
