Watch Plum, a thesis short film directed by animation students from French digital arts school ESMA. It follows a tiny creature discovering the world.
The team (Luana Bertelli, Angèle Lopez, Nicolas Delabeye, Nicolas Delabeye, Balkis Hadra, and Nolan Michel) chose to create a styzed dinosaur with feathers (many of them did have some). The camera remains close to the ground, in order to allow the viewer to discover the world at the same time Plum does.
When Plum hatches from his egg, the little dinosaur is not ready for the universe in which he was born. Carefree and mischievous, he roams around, watched by a dragonfly. However, his innocence is shattered when he makes a terrible discovery about his world…
