Last year, Epic Games released RealityScan, a free mobile app to create 3D scans. At the time, it was only available for iOS users: you can now install it on Android devices as well.
As a reminder, RealityScan can be used to 3D scan objects using photogrammetry: you will need to shoot photos of your subject, then the app will create the 3D model. It should be noted that your Android device has to support ARCore, so that the app can use augmenter reality to guide you during the process. Once you’re satisfied with the model, you can upload it to Sketchfab. You’ll also be able to download it from Sketchfab, of course (as a FBX, USDZ, GLB/glTF file) and include the scans in your projects. It should also be noted that using RealityScan will allow you to get a 1 year subscription to Sketchfab Pro for free.
RealityScan is free. Creating a Sketchfab account is also free.
Here is an example of what can be created using the app, followed by a tutorial. You can download RealityScan on the official website.
