Thinkbox Software annonce le lancement de Krakatoa MY, déclinaison pour Maya de son moteur de rendu de particules.
Déjà disponible pour 3ds Max, Krakatoa repose sur le CPU, est multi-threadé et compatible Windows et Linux.
Krakatoa MY partage le même coeur logiciel de rendu que Krakatoa SR (moteur de rendu standalone) et Krakatoa MX (pour 3ds Max). Les résultats seront identiques d’une version à l’autre, pour peu que les paramètres et données d’entrée soient identiques.

— Particle repopulation for render-time conversion of low-count simulations into high-count particle clouds
