Les 16èmes VES Awards, organisés par la Visual Effects Society, ont été remis le 13 février.
La Planète des singes : L’Affrontement remporte le prix des meilleurs effets visuels dans un long-métrage, Coco étant primé du côté de l’animation. A noter également : le court Hybrids issu de MoPA décroche le prix des meilleurs effets dans un court étudiant.
